WELCOMING AUTUMN WITH A MIDNIGHT COFFEE

Today I needed an easy to wear and versatile look, that was easy to wear in different environments: the fashion show of the new El Corte Inglés collection and a late coffee with my friend MJ.

In a most daring attempt, I opted for a mixture of trends and decided to combine the dazzling neons with the warmth of leather. The final result?

An ideal silhouette to say goodbye to summer and greet autumn.

And why not continue my search for new places where I could enjoy a chat-flavored coffee?

I let myself carry by the suggestion and discovered Ipsylon, in The Oitavos Hotel in Quinta da Marinha, Cascais. A bar with an atmosphere of modern design and simple lines, that divides into smaller and more intimate spaces, inviting yourself to share stories and news with friends.‎

Hoje precisava dum look easy-to-wear e versátil, que fosse fácil de usar em ambientes distintos: o desfile da nova colecção do El Corte Inglés e um café tardio com a minha amiga MJ.   

Numa tentativa mais ousada, optei por com uma mistura de tendências e decidi conjugar os ofuscantes néons com o calor do cabedal. O resultado final?

Uma silhueta ideal para me despedir do Verão e cumprimentar o Outono. 

E porque não continuar a descobrir novos locais onde trocar dois dedos de conversa com sabor a café?

Deixei-me levar pela sugestão e descobri o Ipsylon, no Hotel The Oitavos, na Quinta da Marinha em Cascais. Um bar com  um ambiente de linhas modernas e simples, que se divide em pequenos espaços mais intimistas, convidando à partilha de histórias e novidades.

It was in an atmosphere full of light and brightness that El Corte Inglés presented its new Autumn Winter collection.

The vernal pastel colors are dropped, pieces are adorned with glitter and animal patterns. Leather, fur  and metallic are blended with this season's richest tones: teal, aubergine, burgundy or emerald green. Accessories are often used in singular and their dimensions increase.

Following the overall trends, a revival of the 20s is mixed with the decadence of the 80s/90s, providing a mature and sophisticated look to the woman who wears it.

Brands betted on pencil skirts with hems by the knees, the pants waistlines went up and their cut end above the ankle, they focused on pronouncing the feminine curves, without going for the ultra-tight.

Foi num ambiente de luz e brilho que o El Corte Inglés a sua nova colecção para este Outono-Inverno.

Perde-se a o tom primaveril das cores pastel, adornam-se as peças com brilhos e padrões animais.   Misturam-se o cabedal, as peles e os metálicos com os tons fortes da estação: azul petróleo, beringela, bordeaux ou verde esmeralda. Os acessórios são muitas vezes utilizados no singular e aumentam de dimensões.

Seguindo as tendências, cruza-se um revivalismo dos anos 20 com a decadência dos anos 80/90, conferindo um ar maduro e sofisticado à mulher que a enverga.

As marcas apostaram em saias lápis com bainhas pelos joelhos, subiram as cinturas das calças e apostaram num corte acima do tornozelo, enfocam-se as curvas femininas, sem apostar no ultra-justo.

This year, on the streets of every S/S14 fashion week (London, Paris, NY) we could see a trend that I reproduced here, the long shirts. Versatile pieces, easy to wear, that may be combined with low sandals for a simple walk through the mall, or with heels for a night out.

We know that the fashion world is constantly changing and that today's trends won't be followed tomorrow, so why not adapt existing pieces in our wardrobe, inspiring us on the looks we see in fashion weeks?

Creating a good structure in your wardrobe, with several basic pieces that can be matched ​​between them, while adding one or another last season piece, without having spent an absolutely outrageous amount, is a great way to keep a bold image and to deliver the message you want to pass to others.

Sometimes, in an attempt to pass a trendy image, we end up purchasing pieces from the latest collection, which we will use only once or even wich aren't the most suitable to our body type and  do not flatter us, ultimately sending the wrong message to the world.

Opt for easily convertible from day to night looks, without spending fortunes on a single piece, which will easily be outdated.

Este ano, nas ruas de qualquer S/S14 fashion week (Londres, Paris ou NY), podémos comprovar uma tendência que aqui reproduzi, os camiseiros. Peças versáteis, fáceis de usar, que tão depressa poderão ser conjugadas com umas sandálias baixas, para um simples passeio pelo shopping, como com uns sapatos de salto, para uma saída à noite.

Sabemos que o mundo da Moda está em constante mutação e que as tendências de hoje podem não ser seguidas amanhã, então porque não adaptar peças existentes no nosso guarda-roupa inspirando-nos nos looks que vemos nas fashion weeks?

Criando uma boa base no seu guarda-roupa, com várias peças básicas conjugáveis entre elas, não deixando de ter uma ou outra peça da última estação, sem no entanto ter gasto um valor absolutamente exorbitante na mesma, é uma óptima forma de manter uma imagem arrojada, que transmita a mensagem  que pretende passar aos outros.

Por vezes, na tentativa de passar uma imagem trendy, acabamos por adquirir peças da última colecção, que iremos utilizar uma única vez ou que até não são as mais adequadas ao nosso corpo e nos desfavorecem, acabando por passar a mensagem errada ao mundo.

Opte por looks facilmente transformáveis do dia para a noite, sem gastar fortunas numa única peça, que facilmente ficará desactualizada.
