- morning jog while walking the girls (Lolita & Pakita);

- homemade breakfast while I put myself aware of the Arab world;

- working from home;

- a break to browse through the Net;

- a little more work;

- more pause to refresh the trends;

- romantic little dinner with my S.;

- jog and an end of day walk for the girls;

- city tour for a night coffee.

Sounds like a good plan. The more complicated will be to follow it strictly!

- pequeno-almoço caseiro enquanto me ponho ao currente do mundo àrabe;

- trabalhar a partir de casa;

- corridinha de final de dia e passeio das meninas;

- passeio pela cidade para o cafézinho nocturno.

Parece-me um bom plano. O mais complicado será segui-lo à risca!

Almost starting a new stage in my life, I take a moment to absorb a little more of this city that saw me grow.

I want to take the patterns of the tiles, the autumn' smells, of the roasted chestnut, of the wet ground with the first rains ... This swirl of feelings that makes me want to embrace a new adventure, also comes with an anchor holding me to my origin, that insists on not wanting to let me go.

I breathe deeply, in a baseless attempt to bring the scents with me ...

Quase de partida para uma nova etapa, aproveito para absorver um pouco mais desta cidade que me viu crescer. 

Quero levar os padrões dos azulejos, os cheiros de Outono, da castanha assada, da terra molhada com as primeiras chuvas... Este turbilhão de sentimentos que me faz querer abraçar uma nova aventura, vem com uma âncora que me prende à minha origem, que teima em não me querer deixar partir.

With the much hyped opening of the new commercial space at Príncipe Real, we could only wish to know the Embaixada.

After a wonderful lunch at Poison D'Amour, we let us engage by the charm of this antique building in Lisbon, revived by its pulsating new commercial spaces, while retaining its original character.

We were faced with a selection of appealing brands, offering a whole range of exciting and original products.

To who is addicted to smart shopping, if you want to acquire unusual pieces and stay abreast of trends, or simply want to walk around and enjoy a nice room for a snack, the Embaixada is undoubtedly a place of choice.

Com a tão badalada inauguração do novo espaço comercial do Príncipe Real, só podíamos querer conhecer o Embaixada. 

Após um maravilhoso lanche na Poison D'Amour, deixámo-nos envolver pelo charme deste antigo edificio lisboeta, reavivado pelos pulsantes novos espaços de comércio que alberga, embora mantenha a sua traça original.

Deparámo-nos com uma selecção de marcas apelativa, que oferecem toda uma panóplia de produtos interessantes e originais.

Today is my birthday! I'm super excited about the fact that I can enjoy this day with my family in Paris, even if the sky becomes full of threateningly gray clouds!

With the flip of the calendar, we tend to expect that the goals outlined by us have been reached so we can set new targets.

After a thorough evaluation of my plan for this past year, I am quite pleased with the results!

Now planning the next year, I want to: fully establish myself in the field of Image Consulting; take my blog to a higher level; join my Mr. S on an adventure through Arabia; meet new people, that present me other realities and challenges, where I can excel and constantly re-invent myself.

Hoje é o meu aniversário! Estou super animada com o facto de poder aproveitar este dia com a família em Paris, mesmo que o céu se encha de nuvens ameaçadoramente cinzentas!

Com o virar dos calendários, tendemos a esperar que os objectivos por nós traçados tenham sido atingidos para que possamos definir novas metas. 

Após uma avaliação meticulosa do meu plano para este último ano, sinto-me bastante satisfeita com os resultados alcançados!

The city of fashion, romance, arts, of berets, crepes, baguettes, pain au chocolat ... How I missed you!

Freshly landed, I was warmly received by the my dad and the rest of the family, who invited me to a wonderful lunch still on the periphery of the "City of Lights".

Already in the center, I am preparing to visit an old friend, Eloddie, who recently inaugurated her "Bonita" (in portuguese meaning "Beautiful") boutique, where we find a personally chosen collection that will embellish the ladies of this capital city.
Next to a typical entrance of the Metro, I spent a few seconds observing that frenzy of people coming in and out, all so wrapped up in their destinations, while absorbing some of the collections that strolled along the streets. Final Destination: Trocadéro. A small pedestrian incursion to the finish and voilá!

A cidade da moda, do romance, das artes, das boinas, dos crepes, das baguetes, do pain au chocolat... Que saudades tinha de ti!

Acabada de aterrar, fui calorosamente recebida pelo pai e restante família, que me convidaram a um maravilhoso almoço ainda na periferia da "Cidade-Luz". 

Já no centro, preparo-me para visitar uma velha amiga, a Eloddie, que recentemente inaugurou a sua "Bonita" boutique, onde encontramos uma colecção pessoalmente escolhida para embelezar as senhoras desta capital. 
Junto a uma típica entrada do Metro, dedico alguns segundos a observar aquele frenesim de gente que entra e sai, todos tão envoltos nos seus destinos, enquanto vou absorvendo um pouco das colecções que se vão passeando pelas ruas. Destino final: Trocadéro. Uma pequena incursão pedestre até à meta e voilá!

VISITING GRANDMA

With so much yet to prepare for the trip, I needed to take a break.

Nothing better than a country weekend to rest my mind and body and to take a break from the city hustle and bustle.

I decided to enjoy these last sunny days and take the road towards the northeastern part of the country, to my grandparents village. I can not think of a better place to spoil me and be spoiled, rebalance my energies and prepare myself for what is still to come.

Com tanto ainda por preparar para a viagem, precisava de fazer uma pausa. 

Nada melhor que um fim-de-semana no campo para descansar a mente e o corpo, para tirar uma folga da agitação citadina. 

Decidi aproveitar estes últimos dias soalheiros e fazer-me à estrada rumo ao Nordeste Transmontano, até à aldeia dos meus avós. Não me consigo lembrar de melhor sítio para me mimar e ser mimada, re-equilibrar as minhas energias e preparar-me para o que há-de vir.

I am preparing to embrace a new adventure: within a month I will move to Abu Dhabi.

I'm excited for the possibility to experience this new culture in the first person! The UAE has had a great development, which mirrors our image of futurism and luxury, but that integrates their traditions and customs in the same way.

I have been running through the thousands of plans and preparations for the trip, lists of what's missing and what I can not forget to bring... I have a month to say goodbye to family, friends, and to all who are part of my daily life. (This is where I thank the creation of Skype and WhatsApp, that allows to take them with me!)

Suddenly I realize: I CAN ONLY CARRY 30kg OF LUGGAGE!

Panic was settled in my life!

I am part of that range of people who brings 100kg of luggage for a week vacation, how am I supposed to start a new phase of my life with 30kg? It's a Dog World ...

Preparo-me para abraçar uma nova aventura: dentro de um mês irei mudar-me para Abu Dhabi. 

Entusiasma-me a possibilidade de experimentar na primeira pessoa esta nova cultura! Os Emirados Àrabes Unidos têm tido um desenvolvimento estupendo, que espelha a nossa imagem de futurismo e luxo, mas que integra de igual forma as suas tradições e costumes.

Tenho-me desdobrado entre os milhentos preparativos e planos para a viagem, em listas do que falta organizar e do que não me posso esquecer de levar... Tenho um mês para me despedir da família, dos amigos, de todos os que fazem parte da minha vida diária. (É nesta altura que agradeço a criação do Skype e do WhatsApp que me permite levá-los comigo!!) 

Subitamente apercebo-me: SÓ POSSO LEVAR 30kg DE BAGAGEM!! 

Instalou-se o pânico na minha vida! 

Faço parte daquele leque de pessoas que se faz acompanhar de 100kg de bagagem para umas férias de uma semana, como é que vou fazer para iniciar uma nova etapa da minha vida com 30kg? Mundo cão...

GOING SPORTY

Lately I've been noticing the growing conversation about sport among friends. It pleases me to know that there is a greater social awareness of the need to practice sport not only with the purpose of obtaining a better physical shape , but also for the health benefits.

I leaned a little more about this and pondered my hypothesis: the idea of ​​socializing in an enclosed space with other beings who sweat profusely because their PT made ​​them an exercise plan worthy of an athlete of high competition just sounded unpleasant!

So , compelled by this sudden " Cult of the Gym " that gripped countless friends, I decided to paddle a bit against the tide and regain my practice of daily exercise but with a friendly nuance: outdoor sport. 

An idea that appeals to me more because it is kind of a 3 - in-1 formula:  I have a chance to stroll , enjoy the fresh air of the Sintra hills , and also walk my 4-legged friends!

Furthermore, the fact that, being on the " outdoor ", always gives me a great excuse to stay at home watching a movie when the weather is gloomy and is threatening rain.

Ultimamente tenho vindo a reparar no crescendo de conversas entre amigos relativamente ao desporto. Agrada-me saber que  há uma maior consciência social relativamente à necessidade de praticar desporto não só pela obtenção duma melhor forma física, como também pelos benefícios para a saúde. 

Debrucei-me um pouco mais sobre este assunto e ponderei as minhas hipóteses: a ideia de confraternizar num espaço fechado com outros seres a suar em bica porque o PT lhes fez um plano de exercício digno dum atleta de alta competição não me soava a nada agradável!

Assim, compelida por este súbito "Culto do Ginásio" que se apoderou de inúmeros amigos, decidi remar um pouco contra a maré e retomar sim a minha prática de exercício diária mas com uma nuance simpática: desporto ao ar livre. Uma ideia que me atrai muito mais por ser uma espécie de fórmula 3-em-1: tenho hipótese de passear, desfrutar do ar fresco da serra de Sintra, e ainda de passear as minhas amigas de 4 patas! 
Acresce ainda o facto de que, por ser ao "ar livre", tenho sempre uma óptima desculpa para ficar em casa a ver um filme quando o tempo está mais taciturno e ameaça chover.

The world is full of beautiful things, and how I'm so passionate about it, the possibility to add to our lives people with a clear vision of beauty, who are willing to share it with us, or even to materialize it for us, can only be a positive addition. These days I have been realizing the amount of beautiful things that have the Portuguese stamp and can transmit us this feeling, this glow.

An example is Mário Vitória's work.

"The Most Resilient in the Dawn", thus is entitled the exhibition inaugurated last Friday at the Casino Estoril and that I had the pleasure to visit. In an easily readable painting for those who, like me, are  laymen in the world of painting, the reality of our days is portrayed by Mário in traces of sarcasm, ironically satirized. By his hand we are driven to explore the forgotten past of childhood, as we reflect simultaneously in idyllic worlds and in abandoned beliefs.

Another example of this amazing ability to make us reach the beauty of moments is the work of Bruno Marques, a sculptor from Oporto, author of a wonderful repertoire, with whom I had the pleasure of depriving.

Sitting at the dining table, with two extremely interesting people, my longtime friend Maria Joana Vilela and Bruno Marques, in a relaxed and something familiar mood, the conversation has flowed in every direction. A great way to finish my day, spent in wonderful company, suddenly making me feel a richer person.

O Mundo está cheio de coisas belas, e como apaixonada que por isso sou, a possibilidade de acrescentarmos à nossa vida pessoas com uma visão tão nítida da Beleza dos momentos, que estejam dispostas a partilhá-la connosco, ou até mesmo de a materializar, só pode ser uma adição positiva. 
Nos dias que correm tenho-me vindo a aperceber da quantidade de coisas belas que têm o cunho português e que nos transmitem este sentimento, este brilho. 

Exemplo disso mesmo é o trabalho do Mário Vitória.
"Os Mais Resistentes na Orla da Madrugada", assim se intitula a exposição inaugurada na passada sexta-feira no Casino Estoril e que tive o prazer de visitar. Em pintura de fácil  leitura para quem, como eu, é leigo no mundo da Pintura, a realidade dos nossos dias é-nos retratada pelo Mário em traços de sarcasmo, satiricamente ironizados. Pela mão dele somos levados a explorar o passado esquecido da infância, enquanto reflectimos simultaneamente em mundos idílicos, em crenças abandonadas.

Outro exemplo desta fantástica capacidade de nos fazer chegar o belo dos momentos é o trabalho de Bruno Marques,  um escultor portuense, autor de um repertório maravilhoso, com quem tive o prazer de privar.

Sentada à mesa de jantar, com duas pessoas interessantíssimas, a minha amiga de longa data Maria Joana Vilela e o Bruno Marques, num ambiente descontraído e algo familiar, a conversa fluiu em todas as direcções. Um fim de dia passado em maravilhosa companhia, subitamente fazendo-me sentir uma pessoa mais rica.

WELCOMING AUTUMN WITH A MIDNIGHT COFFEE

Today I needed an easy to wear and versatile look, that was easy to wear in different environments: the fashion show of the new El Corte Inglés collection and a late coffee with my friend MJ.

In a most daring attempt, I opted for a mixture of trends and decided to combine the dazzling neons with the warmth of leather. The final result?

An ideal silhouette to say goodbye to summer and greet autumn.

And why not continue my search for new places where I could enjoy a chat-flavored coffee?

I let myself carry by the suggestion and discovered Ipsylon, in The Oitavos Hotel in Quinta da Marinha, Cascais. A bar with an atmosphere of modern design and simple lines, that divides into smaller and more intimate spaces, inviting yourself to share stories and news with friends.‎

Hoje precisava dum look easy-to-wear e versátil, que fosse fácil de usar em ambientes distintos: o desfile da nova colecção do El Corte Inglés e um café tardio com a minha amiga MJ.   

Numa tentativa mais ousada, optei por com uma mistura de tendências e decidi conjugar os ofuscantes néons com o calor do cabedal. O resultado final?

Uma silhueta ideal para me despedir do Verão e cumprimentar o Outono. 

E porque não continuar a descobrir novos locais onde trocar dois dedos de conversa com sabor a café?

Deixei-me levar pela sugestão e descobri o Ipsylon, no Hotel The Oitavos, na Quinta da Marinha em Cascais. Um bar com  um ambiente de linhas modernas e simples, que se divide em pequenos espaços mais intimistas, convidando à partilha de histórias e novidades.
